They normalized vicious attacks on spouses, children, and extended family whenever it served their purposes. Their current outrage is therefore pure hypocrisy. New York sits on top of some of the most abundant, affordable natural gas in the country, yet politicians blocked the pipelines needed to bring it to consumers. The solution isn’t complicated: finish the pipelines, keep nuclear and build more of it, complete the Champlain Hudson transmission line, unlock the jobs and mineral rights of the Southern Tier, and eliminate the hidden fees driving up utility bills. Affordable, reliable power is a choice. As Comptroller, I’ll be the watchdog who holds Albany accountable for the cost of that choice.

The human cost was foreseeable and horrific. Smugglers and traffickers exploited the chaos. The current administration has already located over 145,000 to 146,000 of these children as of 2026. DHS leadership under Secretary Markwayne Mullin and Border Czar Tom Homan confirmed many were recovered from active sex trafficking rings, forced labor, repeated sexual assaults, and abusive conditions. Some were found deceased. Backlogged reports ignored under Biden-Harris included clear trafficking indicators. This was no accident or mere overload. It was the predictable result of policies chosen to prioritize political optics and demographic transformation over the lives of children and American sovereignty. Cartels turned kids into commodities while Democratic leaders in Congress defended the chaos, blocked enforcement, and attacked those who exposed it. These actions stand in direct opposition to American principles of protecting the vulnerable and securing the nation. They also violate the moral duty rooted in the Judeo-Christian foundations of this country to shield the innocent from predators and exploitation.
