new idea: allowing you to set if you want to require approval before allowing contact.

Just wrote an update to go out to everyone who's reserved a username so far. Will send tomorrow sometime. pretty exciting to see things start to come together.

@schwad_rb @tuple i think it can be accomplished with the bio text area i have, since you can write whatever. though i’ll look at adding a tuple social link. i’d love to figure out an integration with Tuple tbh down the road.

@RailsBuddy I’d love it! I would love free text or flair to allow me to share that I have @tuple and my preferred tool to pair is with Tuple (to find other Tuplers; though I know many don’t have it and that’s totally fine)

What if you had space to express yourself on your profile for RailsBuddy? 🤔 You could express yourself, why you're looking to find a pair/how you work best, share your skill levels and so forth. Still WIP but this is kinda closer to the vision in my head. Thoughts/Feedback?

Thank you all! It's official we're doing the thing. Keep those signups coming, the more we get the better chance of finding a buddy come launch date! It's time for us to roll up the sleeves, open a coca-cola and get to work.

Little tally magic behind the scenes to help me with research for @RailsBuddy, it's awesome to see so many people looking to help others. We're just 25 people away from hitting the minimum number of people that I think will make it viable, though still shooting for 500.
