.@SenatorDurbin, my daughter died in a system shaped by policies you continue to defend.
You chose sanctuary policies that give special privileges to those here illegally, while law-abiding Illinois citizens like my family are left unprotected. That’s not compassion. That’s a failure of leadership.
Your north star isn’t public safety, it’s ideology. And it’s an ideology with no guardrails, where political priorities come before the lives of the people you were elected to serve.
You had the chance to show basic humanity, to acknowledge Katie’s life and death, as other senators in your own party did. Instead, silence. Not a call, not a statement, not even basic human acknowledgment.
Silence in the face of tragedy isn’t neutrality. It’s indifference.
Illinois families deserve better than leaders who look away when the consequences don’t fit their narrative.
You’re retiring, but for many of us, that comes 30 years too late. And whoever you choose to endorse should be rejected just as quickly, because Illinois cannot afford more of the same.

@SenKatieBritt @SenJohnKennedy I agree stop the Senate's pay. They suck anyway

This is simple. If Congress can’t do our job to ensure hardworking Americans get paid, then there’s no reason members of Congress should get a paycheck.
Proud to support @SenJohnKennedy’s No Shutdown Paychecks to Politicians Act. We must have a vote on this.

@VigilantFox The NYT 's is nothing more than a proganda machine for radical leftist

Sam Harris sits quietly as Bill Maher calls out the NYT for pushing readers toward an opinion on the “Iran War.”
“The second day of the war… The New York Times’ headline was ‘US troops die.’ That was what they led with.”
“But then, in a country where I’ve read 80 to 90% of the people are thrilled that the Ayatollah is gone, what picture did they put? Picture of people mourning the Ayatollah…”
“I can’t believe that somebody at the desk didn’t get, ‘I’ve got a great picture of people dancing in the streets.’ Yeah, we’re gonna go with the 10% who are sorry the Ayatollah is dead because that’s gonna funnel the thought of our readers toward, ‘Oh, this is a bad war to get into.’”
“That, to me, is the difference in what the media does now and what they didn’t used to do. You’re funneling me toward an opinion, whereas I would love it if you just told me what happened.”
After a couple of low-energy “yeahs,” Harris conceded: “The boundary between activism and journalism has clearly broken down.”

@cenkuygur @VigilantFox @billmaher @nytimes So your saying appealing to the 10% islamist is what they should be doing, because everybody else is racist
English

@VigilantFox This is hilariously ironic. What @billmaher is actually saying is that @nytimes used to cheat 100% in Israel's favor, but now it's only 90%!! He says he read that 80-90% of Iranians are happy Ayatollah is dead, implying Iranian people were so happy to be bombed! Utter nonsense.
