@milspec_mi Pretty much any US military base will have a dozen surplus shops right outside the gates. Service members sell their stuff as soon as they get out. Most of the kit is mid-2000s to mid-2010s stuff.

@Maguro_Maznaga American foreign language education is very similar. I studied German at university for 4 years and barely could speak it. Then I lived in Germany for a while and picked it up quickly.

@Hound_7 There's a lot of nuance to US air operations. Infantry, armor, and artillery work together on the ground, we do the same in the air. Fighters, ground attack, electronic warfare, etc all work together simultaneously. This allows the A-10 to operate in unfavorable conditions.

I completely understand. Also, due to the nature of its mission, the A-10 is slow and its air combat capabilities are quite limited. In other words, it must be used in situations where air superiority is secured. The overwhelming air power of the US military makes the operation of this aircraft possible. This is a difficult operation for other air forces (it's difficult to consistently secure air superiority).
