Course inspection completed ahead of Saturday 14th March. We are… …ON! 🥳 It’ll be our 3 lap course & trail shoes are recommend for a few sticky patches riverside 👟 Of course it’s subject to having enough volunteers. If you can help email reading@parkrun.com #loveparkrun🌳

Usually we inspect on a Friday morning, but we’re making an early call this week. The course is drying out nicely but it needs a little longer before we set hundreds of people loose. So off this week, but keep checking back here to see we’re able to resume. #loveparkrun🌳

It’s been drier this week. The river levels are dropping. The course is drying out. 🥳 However, parts are muddy enough that staying upright is a challenge even in trail shoes. So we’re cancelled again this week. 🧐 Tune in next Friday for another update. ⏭️ 🤞 #loveparkrun🌳

The water is hanging around on our course. So we are cancelled once again tomorrow: 21 February 2026. There is plenty of opportunity to get some parkrun tourism in and still get home in time to cheer on @TeamGB in the Curling and the Halfpipe finals. 🥌🏂 #loveparkrun🌳

It’s Friday the 13th… & our course clearly got the memo 🤦‍♂️ A course inspection this morning (thx Sophie) shows it’s still far too waterlogged to run safely. So we’re cancelled this week: 14 February. Let’s hope the course starts to turn its luck around soon 🍀 #loveparkrun🌳

Rain, rain, go away, come back another day ☔️ You may have already guessed, but we are cancelled this week: 7 Feb River levels have dropped 🙌 But you there is more standing water on the course itself. If you plan to go elsewhere please check before travelling #loveparkrun🌳

We did an early course inspection today. 👍 The Thames has not flooded yet! 👎 The pools in the nature reserve have overflowed & the meadows are too wet & slippery. So we are cancelled again this week (31 Jan). ❌ #loveparkrun🌳

Rain stops play. ☔️ We held a course inspection today and the course has flooded in a couple of key areas that mean we can’t put on either the 2 lap or alternative 3 lap course tomorrow. 😢 We’ll keep you posted as we move into next week. 🤞 #loveparkrun🌳

After the early suspense of a course inspection, 220 made it across the finish line. Takeshi unlocked 25 parkruns Jana levelled up to 50 Mate entered the 100 club Happy #MilestoneMonday 🥳 With our 700th event creeping closer, we're now just four runs away… #loveparkrun🌳
