A row has erupted in City Hall as Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has pledged an extra £4.6 million towrds this years Notting Hill Carnival. The event which celebrates its 60th anniversary is a crime festival and the money is largely to combat this. The Conservatives have claimed this money could have kept police stations opened. Would it not be just easier to ban this 3 day debauchery, drugs and violence orgy?

They really have to fix the algo here. You share or view one meme about Black Snape (because hilarious) and the entire algo is 24/7 Black Snape for two days straight. The algo thinks because someone interacts with one thing they want infinite of that thing. It’s wrong. It forces people into bubbles they don’t want to be in. Sometimes people want to share a meme, and then go back to normal. Or sometimes they are sent a meme, open it up, and now the feed thinks they want more of that content. No, they were just sent a link and clicked it. It really ruins the experience. Not every detour needs to become the main path. It’s a flawed system. It’s hypersensitive and doesn’t realize just because (I.e. you saw a car wreck on the feed and were shocked) that you want infinite more car wrecks. No. Obviously your eyes are going to linger on the shocking thing, but that doesn’t mean you want to seek it out. X doesn’t discern that. Needs to be fixed. Ruins the experience. And there’s no way to reset the feed back to normal. You just have to try to interact your way back into normal somehow.

Shaming people. The days when someone in town would tut, look of disapproval, most often they'd bellow out at you to tell you what you've done wrong. And you knew that by the time you got home, the whole town would know about it😅 more importantly, which is missing these days, is the fact the recipient of the shaming would take it and process it. Nope, read them all several times. Even bought my teenager the book set, but he said he's seen the films. I tried to defend the books, but it was 2024 and watching a film counts as reading a book.😅 anyways, I loved the stories and how the films were literally as I pictured when reading the books. Now though, I struggle watching them after seeing how the 3 main actors and many others in front and behind the scenes turned on JK Rowling (who I never used to have a positive opinion of) when she defended women's rights. Now, I struggle to watch the films. Back to the books, which are better in my opinion

Oh, so, it is wrong to let men compete against women. To any person who defended this or any other man in women's sports, YOU WERE/ARE THE PROBLEM.
