@mashmore98 He was 23 when they traded him. He had played 178 games. No one complained at that time that they traded him, but it would not have been terrible to give him a chance under a new coach, especially since he was acquired in the Ryan McDonagh/J.T. Miller trade with Tampa Bay.

Seen a lot of really horrid revisionist history from some in the NYR fanbase being critical of letting him go.

Brett Howden was regarded as an extremely safe projection as a prospect and he indeed has become exactly the player anticipated. That makes it especially funny that he spent three years in-between in New York where he didn't even look like an NHLer.

It’s crazy that the Timbs were still there yesterday before the game and a second pair was hanging too. My fellow New Yorkers are treating The Knicks Subway entrance like an altar and are making offerings to the basketball gods.
