@Cobra__Driver @DoctorLemma I get what you're saying. All I'm saying is that he seems content and happy, the goal we all want to achieve in life. I think you believe had he chose another route it would have been easier and he would be "happier" Not necessarily true. Everyone is different.

He has, I agree, I do congratulate him BUT he is being praised for accomplishing what could have been done resulting in the same or better with better choices and an easier life He decided to over work for the same result is all I'm saying. All we have control of in this life is how we spend our time....he could have spent it better.

It was a plastic drawstring bag with a movie ticket, some pens, a few sweets, and a reusable coffee cup. He wasn’t bitter about it. He opened everything on camera and thanked his coworkers with a genuine smile. Kevin Ford had started the job 27 years earlier as a single father after gaining custody of his two daughters. He stayed because the position came with unionised health insurance that put all four of his kids through school with full coverage. By the time the video went viral he was approaching retirement age and couldn’t leave without losing his pension. The internet was furious on his behalf, but Kevin himself never complained. His daughter Seryna set up a fundraising page hoping to raise $200 so he could visit his grandchildren. It raised over $450,000. In December 2023 he bought his first home, a three bedroom house in Pahrump, Nevada for $177,000. He gave part of the rest to his daughter, paid off debts, and put the remainder into savings for retirement. He still works at the same Burger King and still hasn’t missed a shift. His only absence in 27 years was for a television appearance.

It's America, you can choose a "career" as a minimum wage cook or buy your at house at 18, your 2nd at 19, own alot of realestate by 28 and be well off It's called making a choice and only America provides that the best in the world 1st gen American also, I recognize opportunity and beauty of the US

@Brink_Thinker Beautiful, but makes me wonder if it is Alzheimer’s. The guitar playing and singing is amazing, not usually seen with Alzheimer’s. Could it be prescription drug related?

This 88-year-old mom, resides in an assisted living with Alzheimer's, can still sing in perfect harmony with her son as she plays the guitar. He says, "She always returns to me when we sing." 😭💔
