My heart, prayers, and deepest condolences are with the families of the six Air Force members who were killed in the recent refueling crash: Maj. John A. Klinner, Capt. Ariana G. Savino, and Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, as well as the three service members stationed in Ohio — Capt. Seth R. Koval, Capt. Curtis J. Angst, and Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons. I am heartbroken to hear that U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Tyler Simmons, stationed out of Columbus, was one of the six servicemembers killed in a refueling aircraft crash. My heart is with Tyler’s family and the families of the other five servicemembers who were killed, including two other Ohioans. In Columbus and across the nation, we will always remember the sacrifice of Tyler and his fellow servicemembers.

Yesterday, I attended a federal court hearing demanding that I have a voice at the upcoming Kennedy Center meeting, voting rights as an ex-officio board member, and full transparency into Trump's plans to close the Kennedy Center. I will not stop raising my voice. 🔗More here: bit.ly/4lLVi7L

I am horrified by today’s attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. I’m thankful the students are safe and praying for the injured security guard’s recovery. Antisemitism must be condemned in every form. We must speak out against this rising hate and stand with our Jewish neighbors.

I am proud to co-lead H.R. 7688, the DPA Modernization Act, with @Rep_Davidson, @RepJuanVargas, @RepHuizenga, and @ZachNunn, which passed unanimously through House Financial Services markup last week. This bill reauthorizes the Defense Production Act until 2031, makes key enhancements to the law, and ensures it is used to carry out its intended purpose—to protect the American people in times of crisis.
