Going the Extra Mile is a new policy guide developed by GEC with support from @GileadSciences , designed to support legislators in high-income countries in pressuring their governments to step up commitments to the HIV response.

We welcome the US emergency waiver to allow HIV treatment under PEPFAR to continue, but remain concerned about the funding freeze's impact on wider HIV-related services and future support for the world's most vulnerable people. We urge the US Congress to secure PEPFAR's future.

Not having enough doctors diminishes the quality of care for patients, increases healthcare costs with more emergency room visits, and exacerbates healthcare disparities for rural and low-income communities. (2/3)
