Ireland U16s international week ends in defeat as the Netherlands run out winners in the final game of the camp. John Cotter’s side finish the week with two wins from three, and despite today’s disappointment it has still been a very positive window with plenty of players getting the opportunity to represent Ireland and showcase their ability. Ciarán Daly scored for the Boys in Green in the first half, and Ireland were unlucky not to level the match in the second half when a penalty to make it 2-2 was missed. The Netherlands then struck twice late on to seal the result.
