A final thread from Geoff and Margaret: Retirement Tales was born on this date three years ago. As we all headed into 2022, I wanted to share the adventures that Margaret and I were about to have, as we answered The Call and returned to the classroom. 1/

Some of our followers have been asking what's next for me and Margaret. An appearance on The One Show? Our own Netflix series? A podcast? Alas, none of these. Just a quiet life in re-retirement. But perhaps I'll have time to get my old Banda machine fixed... @TheRepairShop

The wind changed... Alas, tomorrow will be the final day of Retirement Tales. Margaret and I offer our heartfelt thanks to every single person who has engaged with our account over the last three years. This hasn't just been social media; it's been community and friendship.

After nearly three years of joyous gatherings, tomorrow marks our hundredth and last ever edition of the Friday Virtual Pub Lunch. Why not join us from 12pm? It's a well-being thing. We'd like your orders for food, drink and, of course, a song for the jukebox. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 🥛🍽🎵

As we reach the end of our final term here, Margaret and I would like to say a great big "THANK YOU!" to every single person who works in childcare & education. It can, at times, be challenging, working with children and young people. But what a difference you make, every day!
