Yes, he doesn't own the design. But he had permission from the ORIGINAL store owner who owned the wallpaper to use it for Backrooms purposes. Without him the set would not have the design it has in the movie. I think he deserves a special thanks for that

I don't understand why people are so angry at Blue here. He was one of only two people with authentic scans of the Chevron wallpaper and helped make the design used in the movie. He's not asking for money nor is he angry. He just wants a special thanks in the credits

Since I own the IRL version of this wallpaper, Kane reached out to me for more info, and my photoscan was later traced and used in the sets, promo, merch, and posters of the movie. I'd be completely fine with that if I was credited at all but...nope 😭

Clarification: The wallpaper (at least in its current state) would likely not even be in the movie without me. Kane reached out not only for closeups of the pattern itself, but also for a full background of its manufacturers and designers 🤷♂️
