Again, had the housing crash not happened and the 350,000 homes scheduled to be built in the west valley at that time…would have been a no brainwr to succeed. The lack of quality ownership coupled with the mismanagement when the league owned them and the city of glendale being on the grift they were hosed in every direction. To hold out hope for Scottsdale slowing a barn is foolhardy at best. They turned it down originally and now there’s no where to but one in the east that is viable and realistic.

The Coyotes thrived their first 7 seasons in the Valley playing in downtown Phoenix. Hopefully, we will see NHL playoff hockey back in AZ someday. Too bad America West Arena (now Mortgage Matchup Center) has 4,500 obstructed seats for hockey or the Coyotes would still be here.
