5 LLMs fail Touring Tst. Point out an error and they repeat the same response. I asked them to duplicate a list so it shows up twice on the same page with 6 sp between. All of them did perfect formatting with 1 sp. fix - same.

It never fails: Talked Spectrum yesterday (chat) to troubleshoot repeated short outages. Started a few days before. 10-15 minutes service goes down, comes back eventually. Chat support wanted the usual: Reboot the modem and router etc. which of course I had already done. They checked the line and said modem is 'fading in and out' whatever that means. Surprisingly Spectrum was going to send out a tech next day. I said - hold off - and sure enough after the call I haven't had a problem since. This always seems to happen. A remote agent checks the line and next thing you know things start working again. I've had at least 4 other instances where this happened. Service was actually surprisingly good here and while I appreciate them wanting to send somebody out next day I hate to have them come out and tell them- yeah, well it's working now, but go ahead and check for nothing. 😂

@RickStrahl @HawaiianTel I switch my house 3 years ago but my condo's didn't offer HawaiianTel so kept Spectrum. At least in Kihei, far more reliable and much cheaper. I'll be switching the condo's over soon. I have a modem/router, can comment on returns.

Hey @delta, your sign-in security breaks best practices. Doesn't work with PM, that goes 10x on your phone app. Asking for LastName is an accessibility and PWM problem. Prompt for user name and PW only.

@americanair I have a disability and your app doesn't let me save AA flights I purchased from my cc, not through AA. I'm forced to search on date and flite #, which is very difficult for me. The app doesn't save previous searches.

@davidfowl I'm going to build useful phone apps with MAUI in Maui. My first app calculates the max velocity given the mass of the recovery vehicle for a given kinetic rope. I've done the numerical integration to know the max energy that can be stored.

I could build compilers all day. Maybe I'll do that in retirement...

@davidfowl CoPilot is writing 50% of my code and sadly doing 80% of my editing. Was considered an expert in breaking up long sentences and making dev comments understandable. CoPilot does the same in seconds. #LLMforcedRetirementSoon

If you are using LLMs and consistently getting horrible results, it’s not the LLM but how you are using it. It might be a combination, but you have to treat them like tools. Learn how the tool works, build a mental model for it, be curious and try different approaches. @davidfowl @duckjiber I use 4 LLMs and they won't honor my request to use asci characters only . They add their formatting which doesn't copy/paste. They can't write standard LaTeX, needed for mathematics. Not close to passing Turing test.
