What is the bravest prayer you could pray? What's stopping you? #prayer #relationship

28 days left till the first round of the season!!!!!!!!
Raise your hand if you're coming out to Kohler this season 🙋♂️🙋♀️
I love the rhythm of my life. Six months on the course. Six months to do various side hustles and work at the Sober House. This has been a gratifying offseason in that regard, but I'm getting excited for golf!
Just ordered new white undershirts because I was such a disgusting sweaty mess last season that everything in my drawer is more yellow than white 😂
As I prepare to shift gears, help me reach a goal of selling a combo of 28 books or caddie towels in the next 28 days. I'll be using the proceeds for a going away gift to the Sober House while I'm away for the season! Click caddietales.co. All 28 sales will be matched with an additional donation 😳🔥🙏

Tonight is the start of baseball season.
Tonight, a group of men will embark on a journey of ups and a lot more downs. After all, a 300 batting average represents the best of them… which still means they still “fail” 7 out of 10 times.
Tonight, we will see men with sidearm, submarine or over the top deliveries, open and closed stances in the batter’s box. People who show humanity that even though we try to do things just like everyone is doing something, sometimes the most important approach is our own… no matter how unconventional it may be.
Tonight, we will see each player walk to the plate and hit a 100 MPH fastball and not make an excuse for why they can’t do something.
Baseball is not just a game, but a snapshot of life.
Let’s Play Ball!

@wdavidotaylor @fullerseminary I’m not so sure this narrows things down to one thing. 😂

To keep things interesting in my theology class @fullerseminary and to give my students a chance to think about one thing only during week 6, I’m assigning them all things Augustine for that week: a little doctrine, a little confessions, a little history, a little spirituality.

A wide variety of friends is one of my favorite things about living. Friends of diverse categories, I’m here to propose, make the world go merrily round. I caught myself smiling with a good many teeth about this today while driving home from the grocery store.
I have friends with whom I share a love of books, others, a love of music or movies or dramatic series or birds or dogs or critters or trees. Oh, and basketball. Well, and hair.
Others who share my deep appreciation for absolute absurdities. For the kinds of things I find most hilarious.
Those with whom I share a near drunkenness — euphoria, I do mean light-headedness — on the sight of most any kind of newborn. Human, calf, canine, kitten, rabbit, name it.
Those, you probably know, with whom I share a love of Jesus, of Scripture, of wallowing in Scripture until we’ve nearly worn the ink off a page and God himself has grown weary of us.
Let me think what else.
Hmmmm. Did I say food???
I think this has been a grace from God in a fairly challenging existence to love lots of different things and, so, lots of kinds of people that love those different kinds of things. I reckon this is a large part of what keeps me out here and in it. And smiling with a good many teeth.

Don't worry if you want to be a writer but it looks too hard: it's mostly about laundry, and playing with the dog.

@matthewkaemingk Does that guy live under a rock? “Pluralism is a lie”??? Something in me wants to follow him around to point out the examples of pluralism is his daily life that have become so normal to him that he doesn’t see it.

Maybe it's the fact I'll never be able to join...
But I honestly have zero interest in being a part of a club like those. Not hating - I'm sure they're awesome and special for the members. Just not a goal of mine.
I'd much rather invest the same money if I had it in copious amounts of golf trips around the world with my golf besties.

Everyone is talking about the Dallas country club prices. Yes $250,000 is a lot. Yes $30,000 a year is a lot. But the crazy part? If you won Powerball tomorrow, you’d still never be able to join a bunch of them. Preston Trail, Dallas, Northwood, Brookhollow you better go find a member to marry if you want in.

Day 13 in #abirdfromthelord
How can this be the same yard where I witnessed 24 species days ago?
It’s all about time. At dawn after a rain, everyone was out singing. Today at the hottest point of the day, only the Allen’s was bold enough.
What birds did God send you today?
