Elections: 282 political parties approved out of 320 by the CEP The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) published, this Thursday, March 26, 2026, the list of political parties authorized to take part in the next electoral competitions, in accordance with Article 144 of the electoral decree of December 1, 2025 and the calendar in force. Of the 320 registered parties, 282 have been approved, meaning that nearly 9 out of 10 training courses have been validated at this stage of the process. The official list is available on the CEP website and its digital platforms. The institution states its intention to guarantee an inclusive, impartial, and transparent electoral process. The 38 unsuccessful parties have until April 2, 2026 to complete their application and try to regularize their situation.
