Extremism doesn’t arise in a vacuum. It disproportionately originates in failed or non-secular states where radical ideology is tolerated or enforced by law. ( Iran/ Pakistan/ Afghanistan etc ) These state ideologies conflict with Western secular democratic values. Screening from these countries is always going to be imperfect. Which raises legitimate questions about how Western democracies balance integration, cultural cohesion, and security. These are difficult issues to address. Should countries prioritise culturally similar immigrants? is there a better way to screen. Either way it feels like a lot of people living in countries like Australia have values that don't align. Thats a major issue.

Both high speed mechanisms & noticeably limping - likely multi-week recoveries incoming & as we’ve seen with other similar cases recently could easily be 4-6 weeks. Never seen anything like it.
