It gets its downloads purely from ads. Im not sure why they aren't massively scaling past 5k downloads a month. They could still be testing things, or are content with the current monthly revenue they have. There are no subs (people forgetting to unsub), so their retention is extremely high. Users are actively paying money to keep playing.

Bouncing around Social Media and Discord to generate some momentum for my mobile game is pretty demoralizing. It's really difficult for an unknown dev to even get people to try for FREE. Not giving up on this little penguin yet though #rockhopper
