I hope I'm not disappointed in the way this scene ends. I hope this film is a merciless as promised. I look forward to finding out as even if flawed, it's great that this topic is finally being addressed in film. It shouldn't be the last such film, there are a million stories of the Muslim invasion of Europe and America to be told - stories of rape gangs, honor killings, church burnings, terrorist attacks and much, much more.

It's impossible to understand how Vance could say something so cowardly, so evasive when the history of the conflict is so blatantly obvious. Is he ignorant? Is he lying to pander to Muslims? In the end, it doesn't matter. He's blatantly wrong and has lost credibility.

There is an old Jewish tale told in the Talmud about a master who sent his servant to buy for him fish in the market. The servant came back with a fish that was utterly rotten and smelled bad for his master. His master gave the servant three options: Eat the rotten fish, pay a fine, or be expelled from the city. The servant chose the first and began eating the rotten fish. Halfway through eating the rotten fish he just couldn't stomach it anymore so he asked to pay the fine. After he paid half the fine he realized he cannot afford it anymore and was therefore expelled from the city, thereby taking on all three punishments. That is what JD Vance did to himself by turning on Israel and his horrifying performance today in Switzerland.

Think about this: The Iranian regime, absolutely desperate for cash, should be on its very best behavior — even temporarily — to unlock that $ and keep it flowing. But they are pathologically incapable of even pretending. And they’re hoping (?) POTUS is so obsessed with a “peace” “deal” that he’ll let them get away with it.
Also, explain how a regime that has been playing games with Hezbollah and refusing (twice!) to fulfill literally the only concession they’ve agreed to so far (opening the Strait of Hormuz) will ever truly dismantle its nuclear program under some “agreement.” They are incapable of honor or improvement. They’re advertising it. Again.
