Earlier today I went to Circle K by my house to get a Slurpee and a little fella asked me if I had a $1.50 for the air pump because his brother's tire went flat. The little brother was crying because he didn't want to get into trouble. So, I looked at the bike. #yeg #MillWoods

The funny thing is I want @Martyupnorth and his friends to have their referendum. So when it fails, it dies. Then folks like Marty can look foolish for being so obtuse. Alberta will never separate from Canada. Especially not since Marty and Rath are connected.

Imagine being the suedo leader of the separatist movement and putting people on lists like below simply because they asked a question about the legality of how they do business. @Martyupnorth you are a child that's likely getting paid to deceive people.

@RogueNerdOne @Deerfoot25David @Martyupnorth The petition page does not indicate where it was signed. Albertans can sign anywhere in the world so long as they are 18+, a Canadian citizen, ordinarily a resident of Alberta, and the signature was collected by a badged canvasser.

@RogueNerdOne @Martyupnorth @JeffreyRWRath They so overly sensitive. It shouldn't be legal to visit other countries to sign. Just an embarrassment. 👶 🚼 👶 having tantrums.

@BiglyMAGA I simply asked if it was legal. I'm not the one freaking out. All you separatists are. @Martyupnorth especially. His stupid lists don't exactly cast him in good light, so _everyone_ should question what he's doing.

Stop the gaslighting! Signatures for the Alberta independence petition do NOT need to be signed within Alberta. They can be collected anywhere in the world (including outside Canada) as long as the signer is an eligible Alberta elector and every other legal requirement is met.
Peter Skinner@RogueNerdOne

@Martyupnorth Is that legal? I thought you have to collect signatures from within Alberta as the last time I spoke with @ElectionsAB, the signatures collected in Arizona would be nulled. I forwarded the tweets regarding the signature collection there to them and they stated they wouldn't cnt.

@wobblyhedg31106 @JasonLavigneAB @Martyupnorth @ElectionsAB No, it's been said over and over that in a separated Alberta, there would be zero federal taxation due to oil royalties. When taxation happens , it will still be federal taxation but people will be paying Alberta, not Canada. Keep lying to people.

@TheRealm694301 @Martyupnorth Ensuring things are done above board is an issue? Why? With Marty and Jeffrey Rath involved, I would hope @ElectionsAB scrutinizes signatures twice as hard. Jeff alone has been censured 4 times by the Alberta Legal Society for things like witness intimidation.

@JasonLavigneAB @Martyupnorth @ElectionsAB It's rich you're calling me a liar with the amount of disinformation your group puts out. How will people pay no federal taxes in the separated Alberta when taxation will have to happen they Will be paying federal taxes. Its only who they're paying is changed. See. A lie.

@RogueNerdOne @Martyupnorth @ElectionsAB You, good sir, are a liar. @ElectionsAB did not tell you they would nullify any signatures. Here's what they actually said, publicly. Albertans outside Alberta can sign the petition as long as they plan to return to Alberta after being away. x.com/i/status/20242…
Elections Alberta@ElectionsAB

Q: What are Alberta residency requirements for initiative petitions and voting? A: To sign an initiative petition or vote, you must be ordinarily resident in Alberta (may only have one residence). This is where they live and sleep, and intend to return to when away.

@RogueNerdOne @FreeAlbertaRob All gifts over a certain dollar amount to politicians are considered gifts to the people/state and must be declared. They are not allowed to keep them personally. This is why Trudeau got in trouble for accepting free accommodations at Aga Khan's island.

To all those Nenshi followers who buy your tinfoil in bulk, here are the facts around your latest conspiracy theory about the now infamous cat sculpture. 1. The cat sculpture is worth a few hundred dollars and is made of copper - not gold. 2. It was gifted to the People of Alberta by the Energy Minister of Saudi Arabia who was attending the World Petroleum Conference in Calgary in 2023. 3. It was not a personal gift to the Premier and is being displayed at the McDougall Centre Premier’s Office out of respect for a country we are developing an important and growing trading relationship with. 4. As Nenshi doesn’t understand, because he never has nor will he ever be Premier, the exchange of gifts with foreign dignitaries is a regular part of international diplomacy as a gesture of friendship, economic partnership and peaceful relations. Nenshi’s disrespect for foreign trading partners is yet more proof of his complete unfitness to lead…and I want to express my unwavering support for his continued leadership of the Alberta NDP.

This is how @Martyupnorth deals with those that as if processes are legal. I guess we should assume the separation folks ARE being less than honest during their collection period. After all, @Martyupnorth @JeffreyRWRath are involved. We should expect deception.

@Deerfoot25David @Martyupnorth I don't know to be honest. I took a screenshot of the tweet stating they were having a signing event in Arizona and one in Mexico to see if it was legit.

@MrKapitalist @Martyupnorth @ElectionsAB I'm not sure why they wouldn't count, but collecting in Arizona would make those signatures as void. Egypt would be just as bad I figure. If I'm wrong, I will gladly correct my tweet. I hope this all gets to a ballot question.

@RogueNerdOne @Martyupnorth @ElectionsAB Why wouldn’t they count? You need to be a verified elector, habitually resident in Alberta, and show ID. If you’re on vacation but have ID showing your address and are an elector, then where the signature is collected by a registered canvasser should be immaterial.

Helping a man with a serious back injury, documented by doctors. Denied AISH. Now cut off Income Support for not signing an affidavit to pursue child support from his pregnant ex, who he says has no means. You can’t get blood from a rock. This is cruel and counterproductive. In my opinion. #abpoli
