@KSPrior @KellyMRosati I believe the biblical mandate for empathy is 1 Peter 3:8. IMO this gets wrongly translated as “sympathetic”. I like to say this should get taught as “like minded & like emotioned.” And then “compassionate & humble” (ref 1 Cor 13) spreads the icing on the cake.

@KellyMRosati It is that. And it also is—quite literally—simply understanding. Which requires that posture and an effort.

@drantbradley I’m confused. The B1G is 7–4 and the SEC is 3–6. An 8–4 Iowa team just beat 10–2 Vanderbilt, who thought they had a Heisman quarterback and should be in the playoffs. What am I missing?

As a Clemson alum, there's nothing better than seeing the ACC and SEC extinguish the arrogance of Big Ten fans about the superiority of their conference. Miami didn't even play in the ACC championship game. Ha!
