Life update: After 6ish years in Edinburgh, I’m moving to London in a few months… to formally join academia as Lecturer in Publishing, teaching BA and MA students at the University of the Arts London! (Simultaneously finishing up my PhD thesis hahahaha pray for me)

My brother died on Monday. I was lucky to be able to say goodbye to him the day before, & he died peacefully, but it's a huge thing. This is partly why I have been posting about Peace so much, as any death is so hard already without war & violence & hatred & fear accompanying it.

@RonaliCollings I think we set too high a bar for ourselves for any follow on novels, especially if our first one was an unexpected success. We’re damned if it’s good, damned if it’s not (for different reasons) 🤷‍♀️

@RonaliCollings Not unlike the music industry; a second album is often a tough ask! I don’t remember the artist’s name but I believe there is a release called That Difficult Second Album. If I ever get my memoirs done that’s enough for me!
