I feel comfortable saying Caleb Downs is the best football player in the 2026 draft class. He won't be the first pick—you have to consider upside, positional value, all that, and there are guys with more of all that stuff. But no one in the class is a better football player.

@maxtoscano1 OSU not using Klare in-line definitely decreased his effectiveness/utilization in the pass game because his role never really fit in the offense.

He reaches and pins the end inside, anchoring despite the tackle *pushing his guy into him*. 2v1 😂
Ohio State almost never let him play in-line the way Purdue did and in all the tape I've watched of this guy, I've never seen a single reason why.

Some very simple, very effective play sequencing off of wide zone by Ohio State.
The key to offense is building off of things and making it all look the same. It's not just in design. It must be in personnel, formations, everything.

Very similar to last year’s Super Bowl, if you can’t even maintain a pocket for 2 seconds when the defense is rushing 4 and playing split safety zones behind it, it’s gonna be a long night. Tough to beat Stubbie/Book/Area/Special/Mini/Taxi/Erase/Lock/Mix without that pocket.

@RossRFulton @TShoeIndex Ross saying "Shanahan/McVey/LaFleur" this is *really* overselling by association based on what Smith has done in ATL-PIT. Those guys are far more creative with downfield passing concepts. Smith is heavy emphasis on 13 personnel, run-heavy, stretch plays, horizontal passing.

Ohio State is expected to hire Arthur Smith as its new offensive coordinator, sources tell @CBSSports. Smith, who was the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons from 2021-23, was the Pittsburgh Steelers’ OC the last two seasons.

@TShoeIndex Shanahan/McVey/LaFleur guy. Day is running back bringing in a vet OC who can specialize on the run game. Day’s pass O is Shanahan based, so they have common background. Expect more NFL style, multi TE looks—especially getting Sayin more under center.
