@ekun_II I have a similar story, also because of @SpiritAirlines. Was supposed to go to Vegas for my brother's 50th birthday. They cancelled us after arriving at the airport. Offered to book us on a flight 4 days later, but our reservations for hotel and shows were starting that day

I will not send you guys DMs; I will make it public. My family has been planning this vacation for over 9 months. We paid for our suite on the cruise for a family of 5, totaling upwards of $7,000. We are supposed to arrive at the harbor by 2 p.m., with the ship sailing at 4. We booked a super-early flight that cost a little over $1,400, and I paid $240 for extra luggage. For this vacation, my wife and I cleared our calendars, with a running cost of at least $30,000 for the whole week. Last night we tried to check in but realized the flight was overbooked, and even after checking in, we weren’t assigned seat numbers. I also paid $80 for remote parking at DFW for 6 days, just for convenience. We told my wife we had to get to the airport. Our flight was at 6:30 a.m., so we left home at 3:30 a.m. and arrived before 5 a.m. The first attendant told us there weren’t enough flight attendants, so the flight was cancelled. We spoke to another one, who said it was a weather issue in Miami. What I know is that the flight went to Miami, but because it was overbooked, they randomly cancelled some passengers. What upsets me most is that my wife warned me about this airline. Also, my son is supposed to turn 9 on Wednesday, all of that is gone. Royal Caribbean did not refund our money. My children’s spring break and my son’s birthday have been ruined just because we booked with Spirit Airlines.

@UltraRunner26 I've been "Productive" for a like a month straight now and honestly it is kinda freaking me out. Like I feel like I am doing something wrong for my Garmin to not me emotionally abusing me currently.

No better feeling than nailing your run exactly as planned. You hit save with extra confidence, knowing your training is finally paying off. Garmin = "Unproductive"

@jayythewave Agreed. I flew with my child last week and when given the option to pay extra to sit together, I did. Did it suck? Yup. But if it's important to you, you pay the extra.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Terry Pratchett's final masterpiece, 'The Shepherd's Crown.' To honour this milestone, we're sharing these poignant reflections from Rob Wilkins. "" It’s been ten years since the publication of The Shepherd’s Crown, the last book Terry Pratchett completed before he died. Once the spine on this one was cracked, there were no more new Pratchetts to look forward to, and I know a lot of Discworld readers who were, understandably, with that sad reality in mind, reluctant to finish - or even start - this one because it felt like the final closing of a door. But I also know that Terry wanted his books to be read and enjoyed far more than he wanted them kept on a shelf. And as time passes it becomes ever more apparent how much the Discworld books reward re-visiting, perpetually revealing something new, literary gems Terry had hidden away for a second or third, or even more, re-read. Every Pratchett is to some degree an unread Pratchett, including the ones you’ve already enjoyed and including The Shepherd’s Crown.
