Energy prices are out of control right now. Families across Maryland are opening their utility bills and wondering how it got so high. We need to strengthen our energy grid, produce more energy here at home, and invest in technologies that actually bring costs down.

We must stand firmly with our Jewish friends and neighbors and reaffirm our commitment to dignity, safety, and the freedom to worship without fear.

Houses of worship should be a place of peace, reflection, and safety and an attack on any faith is an attack on all of us. This tragedy is a painful reminder of the urgent need to confront hate and antisemitism.

The shooting at a synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan is heartbreaking. I'm praying for the victims, their families, the Jewish community and the residents of West Bloomfield.
