Soooo... should the Browns bring back OBJ?

John Kosko of PFF identifies the Browns’ No. 6 overall pick as their most valuable trade asset, suggesting a potential trade-down could help address roster needs while adding draft capital. "If not for back-to-back wins to close the season, the Browns would be in a position to draft quarterback Fernando Mendoza or leverage that pick for a significant haul. Instead, Cleveland sits at No. 6 overall with clear needs at wide receiver and along the offensive line. While the Browns could stay put and take the best player available, their offense lacks proven talent. Trading down may be the more effective route, allowing them to accumulate additional draft capital while still adding impact contributors. Holding both a high first-round pick and a late first-round selection gives Cleveland the flexibility to reshape its roster heading into the draft." (pff.com/news/draft-202…)

Tony Grossi makes the case for the Browns to reunite with Joshua Dobbs, citing his leadership, intelligence, and familiarity with the team as valuable traits for the quarterback room. "So, why is [Joshua] Dobbs, 31, a good fit for a third stint with the Browns? He’s well-liked in the locker room, avidly consumes the playbook, is super helpful to younger QBs, and has proven capable of filling in on a moment’s notice and giving a competent, professional effort in a game. He wouldn’t get in the way of the QB1 competition. Rather, he would be a healthy contributor to the room. Also, he belongs back in close proximity of the NASA Glenn Research Center. Dobbs has a degree in aerospace engineering, has served two internships at NASA’s Kennedy Space Flight Center, and aspires some day to travel to space. Thus, his nickname – the Passtronaut. Alas, I wouldn’t begrudge Dobbs from signing elsewhere. Berry has discarded him twice already." (thelandondemand.com/news/2026/mar/…)

Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report believes the Cleveland Browns may have overpaid in free agency to rebuild their offensive line, raising concerns about the value of their investment in Zion Johnson despite his upside. "There may not be a position group in the entire NFL that has undergone a more thorough overhaul in free agency than the offensive line in Cleveland. The team traded for tackle Tytus Howard. Signed former Pro Bowler Elgton Jenkins to play center. And gave former first-round pick Zion Johnson over $30 million in guarantees to come play guard. Johnson is admittedly still young, and the Browns appear to be gambling on that first-round potential. But while injuries at tackle certainly played a role in the Chargers having a dreadful offensive line last year, so did the fact that Johnson was one of the worst starting guards in the league."
