@DanHollaway Also if the law has become too complex that a lawyer can't explain it an how it was broken then the laws have become too many or too complicated
@DanHollaway I think soon as the jury stops being random, it will quickly become corrupted by one side or the other. You wouldn't have to select the jury, you just gotta select the person that selects the jury.
A "jury of your peers" is a meaningless concept when my so-called peers don't know our laws, Constitution, or history.
What do you think of professional jurors who are actual jurists? Not lawyers, but people who have passed some test showing they actually understand the law?
Short terms, somewhat like a seasonal grand jury.
