If I’m asked to vote for game of the year, I can see the difference between my subjective preferences and objectively good games For music, I’d vote BTBAM over both QotSA and ID

@S3Plan @askamsky51 @kambyyy I would always say my personal favourite. I think choosing for the masses is why award seasons suck balls. Just look at the Grammy’s. That has never been a serious award. They gave imagine dragons an award over queens of the Stone Age 😭😭😭

@Tecnoguy1 @askamsky51 @kambyyy For me, when I hear the question: “What is your game of the year?” I separate my favorite game from what I would vote as game of the year. Sometimes it’s a match, but sometimes it’s not. I enjoy Marathon, but I don’t believe it’s GOTY material. Game of its Genre, for sure.

Ultimate final fantasy hot take is that they range from bad to decent but there's 3-4 that are downright excellent but the fanbase can't tell them apart from the ones that are just decent

I can never understand the way some people treat FFVII Remake compared to other video game remakes. Like it’s fine if the Resident Evil remakes make significant changes, but keeps the same story and outcome, but it’ll be a problem if FFVII does the same thing?

FFXVI being called a DMC clone takes both of the games out of their important context. DMC is emphasized around taking a a kit and playing around with it aka the style system. FFXVI is about taking a concentrated kit and optimizing your output.

FFXIV is an irrelevant game that died because their rabid fans won't stop attacking the figure heads in the content creator space.
