I say this not to call out my friends, but rather to illustrate that there are things I'm working on. I'm in year 7, and I don't have all this teaching thing figured out. I crave feedback, especially when I have an urgent need.

I feel disappointed. I reached out to a few colleagues today because I needed actionable feedback on part of my lesson that was weak and my kids were disengaged. On my own, I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Neither came.

@Ms_Stangel Sounds like AVID for teachers. Well said by Doug and by you. What if we did a PD study for teachers? Pick a skill, research, implement, assess and analyze. But in a week, not a year. Our kids deserve better teachers NOW, not next semester.

While we help design and navigate the paths ahead for our students, let's continue to design our own paths as educators, and not leave it up to chance.
