Fortnite? Suisei (@suisei_hosimati) is from Hololive (@hololivetv), an idol agency based in Japan. She's also one of their best singers, and is an amazing Tetris player. Look her up sometime. Anyway, Milpitas is too far out of the way for me, but this is still pretty cool.

We don't currently offer monthly passes because we are fare box dependent (it would make our deficit worse). But we are currently testing an unlimited pass for all transit in the Bay Area so we can find a price point that works for everyone. BART does offer safety staff that are not sworn police officers and you can request them. Ask for a Crisis Intervention Specialist.

who cares. can we have monthly passes? or are you too busy giving your useless police force another $10k pay raise just for them to not do anything when women are getting harrassed

Only Clipper can do a refund. To figure out what is happening help us with these questions: Are you transferring between transit systems? Is this happening on entry or exit? What is the trip you are making (entry and exit station)? What payment device are you using? A plastic Clipper card? And if so are you holding it by itself and not near your phone or other credit cards? Are you using a digital Clipper card in your phones wallet and if so do you have express transit turned on? Apple Pay or Google Pay and if so, does you phone have any credit cards being stored in a pocket behind it? Or contactless credit or debit card. $7.55 is charged under the follow scenarios: -for not using the same payment card or device when entering and exiting the station -not tapping out of BART within six hours, or if your card is missing an entry or exit tap. -Or if your Clipper card has not yet been updated to the next generation system, you are charged $7.55 if you entered and exited the same station within 3 hours. So one of these things is happening.

@SFBart Tell me when I get my refunds I get charged Regular Fare and Excursion Penalty every time I ride the Bart and everytime I have contacted Clipper or Bart operations I get told that $7.55 is for Fare Evasion full stop. Please note the date and time for both charges. How do I get credited for Clipper incorrectly charging me? —-Everyday.

The CPUC requires we have an operator. They must manually drive the train under several scenarios, look out for obstructions, ensure the doors are not blocked before closing and departing from the platform, handle emergency situations, manually align tracks and more. BART trains are clean and safe.

@SFBART BART is BANKRUPT! Why hasn't BART automated train operators to cut costs? This is what absolute mismanagement looks like. The only hope for BART is that it's privatized. Costs must be cut, fare jumpers must be completely eliminated, stations & trains must be made safe & clean.✌️

We got a DM the other day with a fun request from a local family: Could we find this nice BART train operator who always waved and beeped at this special little rider and deliver him a thank you card? So we made it happen. Happy National #TransitEmployeeAppreciationDay!

It was pitched as both safety and efficiency. The announcement stated (linked below for receipts): "Shorter trains mean: •    More police and safety staff presence •    Cleaner trains •    Only new trains will be in service unless there is a need to run an old train •    Fewer delays because new cars have double the reliability rate of old cars and we will have more standby trains available •    $12 million is cost savings" We first started contemplating shorter trains because it was brought up by women and girls. People in the Bay Area were still nervous about being close to others because of COVID. Going from all long trains to shorter trains was going to require explanation of why we were doing it. bart.gov/news/articles/…

@SFBART @BrettYokom Also, you should be ashamed of how you pitched these shorter trains initially. Trost got up and gave a whole speech about how it was safety - becasue women were afraid of waiting at the end of a long platform. Why didn’t you just say it was for cost?

@BrettYokom Running shorter trains is an efficiency measure which has saved BART $27M in costs through FY26. It is a spending cut.
