Always wanted to do a thread on fencing along Pak-Afghan Border. So here we go… 1. Pakistan shares border of approx 2640 Kms with Afghanistan. However, fence able terrain is almost 2300 Kms i.e. Excluding River beds, stoney ridges, loose earth etc. 2. Pak Army had to fencing

Pakistanis think they can bully the UAE? Pakistan isn’t the superpower it thinks it is. It runs a deep deficit with the UAE and relies on its oil, remittances from 1.7M workers, and billions in deposits. One move from Abu Dhabi could choke an already fragile Pakistani economy.
Murtaza Hussain@MazMHussain

They should be bold and refuse to pay back the loan. We are in a new era where bold action is rewarded and might is the major currency. The UAE has no capacity to retaliate against a default or other threats and is already in a dire situation. It would be tough but realistic.

When you take loans, You should pay back them in time & say thank you to that country! Presenting it like we doing some favor to UAE is very arrogant behavior. We are failed to manage our country so it is our fault.

Not how it works. Recent differences aside, UAE has historically bailed Pakistan on numerous occasions, and is home to almost 2 million of our expats. That's 2 million Pakistani families that depend on UAE for survival.

No it’s not realistic you absolute dolt. Turns out @ryangrim is a lot like Trump. Likes surrounding himself with people not as smart. When your reputation as a borrower gets damaged, your credit rating gets worse and all future loans become a lot more expensive. It can trigger serious investor capital flight and kills your efforts to get FDI. In fact paying it back shows you’re a lot stronger than people realise financially and have your s*** together.

@SLN18D @ahfazmustaf Since the Yemen crisis of 2015 and Pakistan's refusal to contribute ground troops, UAE has always been at best a fence sitter during our crisis... it is high time we redefine our relations with this piece of shit place

It is high time for Pakistan to decisively curtail the operations of Emirates, FlyDubai, and Air Arabia within our borders. These carriers have long exploited the advantage of flying out of a single hub in the Gulf while dispersing across multiple hubs in Pakistan. In doing so, they have captured a disproportionate share of passenger traffic, leaving our own national and private airlines struggling to survive. This imbalance undermines Pakistan’s aviation industry, erodes the competitiveness of our carriers, and drains valuable revenue that should be retained within the country. By allowing foreign airlines to dominate through aggressive scheduling and market penetration, we risk weakening our strategic aviation assets and diminishing our ability to sustain a strong, independent air transport network. Pakistan must act with foresight and authority. Regulatory intervention is essential to restore equilibrium, protect our airlines from unfair competition, and ensure that the skies above Pakistan serve national interests first. Limiting foreign carriers’ access will not only safeguard jobs and investments in our aviation sector but also strengthen our bargaining position in international aviation agreements. The time has come to prioritize our own carriers, nurture their growth, and defend Pakistan’s aviation sovereignty. Without decisive action, we risk becoming overly dependent on foreign hubs, while our airlines fade into irrelevance.

Can someone tell what Iran has on Pakistan that Pakistan acts like its affiliate? Our people work in the Arabian gulf countries, these countries help us in our economy, why does Pakistan tend towards Iran so much?

I booked a mobile phone on @MistorePk - I expected it will just be delivered as it’s paid for. Now I have a very rude rider calling and telling me to give me parcel number so he can deliver the phone. That makes no sense? Is this a process? Shouldn’t @MnPCourier just deliver this order to the address provided? Afraid of scams.
