I interned for Lynda when I first moved to LA. A true trailblazer who never missed an opportunity to help me learn. I’d often get to drive her home from the office and witnessed someone who took in everything. To her, the entire world was a great story ripe for the making. RIP 💔

That she was a genuinely talented chef and defined/kicked off the all day cafe avocado toast/west coast defines food culture now thing is kind of insane.

This book is almost 10 years old now. Which should put it firmly in the corny, uninteresting, wow-we-were-so-lame-back-then zone. But it still feels incredibly aspirational.
