Working on a new content project. The Seven Conversations. Since I am a marriage therapist, I am primarily addressing it through this lens, but I think it fits in other relational contexts as well. Here is a brief look into the the why and for each conversation.

My hope is that this is a tool you can use with people important to you to improve your communication, connection, and reduce destructive conflict.

7. Celebrate, Grieve, Remind CS Lewis says that if we cannot find our home, peace, and wholeness here on earth, perhaps we were not made for earth. Be quick to remind each other of this, to celebrate partnership, and grieve wounds together. No one escapes this life unscathed.

@jasonkovacs As a therapist in Nashville, I see a lot of pastor burnout, and the downstream impact. I think pastors need to work for 3 years, then take a year off and work a trade that requires time outdoors and sweat And has nothing to do with soul care for others. wash, rinse, repeat

Folks, I just had a fun idea for a class: "Neither Angel Nor Beast: On the Difficulty of Being Only Human" (with a nod to Kelly Kapic's wonderful book). What do you think we would read in that class? For one, some Walker Percy (any help here, @HootenWilson?).

If you have kids at home: The transition from work to home is the dress rehearsal, with walking into the house being showtime. Finish your business work before you get home, even if that means you've got to drive around the neighborhood a few times.
