@TYLERDRIFT_ adding to this comment,it feels like Namco wanted to make pacman a series with a wide cast and worlds like Mario or Sonic but kind of just gave up around PW3,then tried to "modernize it" with ghostly adventures but it also fell apart,I hope with Re Pac 2 they give it another try

@TYLERDRIFT_ I don't think the franchise is overlooked but the problem would be that what many people just acknowledge the first game and that's it,and I mean I get it,Namco also did it for a good while there,and the lack of big 3D titles for a while made it worse

@jondrawz Yeah I'm super glad he is back and hope he stays as the voice for PAC man moving onwards but in Re Pac 2 part of his charm is missing a bit,half of what made him so Charming in W3 was the sassy dialogue and the jokes,how he would banter between the other characters

i'll be the first one to tell you i was so ecstatic to hear martin t sherman was returning as pac-man
but i feel in repac 2 he was missing that world 3 personality and voice direction that made it work so well for me

It's a shame that I have seen people complain about Martin T Sherman, voicing Pac-Man in the remake of World 2. He is only NOW able to comeback to the series, and people want him gone.

@viejodamis09 @Sergiomonty Me refiero a el ambiente de el juego y la historia,los diálogos si son más animados pero los niveles parecen sacados de Metroid prime,aunque para ser justo esto se debe más que todo a que iba a ser un juego de pacman distinto en un inicio,pero fue cancelado y fue reciclado en PW3

Algunos estudios hacen concept arts extremos para testear las aguas y estimar su libertad creativa. Pasó con Epic Mickey. Pero alguien en Retro Studios estaba bien idiota si pensaba que Nintendo le iba a dar Greenlight a un juego donde parte del test es un Boo crucificado xd

@Sergiomonty Aunque pienso que esquivaron una bala al no poner este tipo de cosas en el juego,es muy genial y todo, pero siento que mucha gente se hubiera burlado del juego por tratar de ser muy edgy y serio,como le pasó a Pacman World 3 o Sonic 2006

@Sergiomonty Es realmente una pena que el arte conceptual se hubiera filtrado antes de que el juego fuera lanzado,porque le dio una imagen falsa a muchas personas de lo que iba a ser Epic Mickey,lo que le cause algunas críticas injustas en su lanzamiento

@CrispyChickenmm Ya cuando empezaron a forzar los diseños de la película en todo lo relacionado a angry birds ya hay problemas,si fuera solo en juegos que están en el universo de la peli estaría bien,pero es como si Sega pusiera el diseño de la película de Sonic en todos los juegos de la saga

@CrispyChickenmm En la película entiendo completamente porque los hicieron antropomórficos,de hecho creo que era la mejor opción,los diseños originales son icónicos pero sería difícil o hasta imposible manejar una película entera con ellos sin que se sienta raro

No entiendo la insistencia de rovio al querer hacer a los pájaros antropomorficos, vale la película estuvo buena y todo pero llevan 10 años metiendo esos diseños a todo, y simplemente no funcionan en juegos

@yggdrasilsaltar @FrankJo1576400 @HubPointless I mean yeah,3D platformers were still present,but ever since the sixth generation,They were starting to become less prominent,just because Nintendo was doing what everyone expected a new 3D mario would be like(genre wise) doesn't mean the genre was living and thriving like before

@abismal_pecto It reminds me of those Russian Mario bootlegs for Sega Genesis with the fucked up game over screens,it has the weirdly detailed sprites and strange sound effects

This feels like a dream I'd have if I was trying to remember a Mario game from memory.
The oddly low quality voicelines and sound effects, everything looking CLOSE to being correctly rendered but at the same time looks just off enough.

I remember when this game was first announced, people went nuts, they started coming up with fanfiction-tier ideas on the plot
"You're gonna get to go to Rogueport, and Paper Fawful and Dimentio were gonna team up, its gonna be the GOAT"
