Then again, I’m one of those soulless pricks that would pull the trigger to rid humanity of this problematic being and sleep soundly. Few mourn over culling violent wild animals, but, oddly, society onerously protects murderous defective humans… because they *look* like us. 🙄

Justice to the victims and their families certainly isn’t served by loop-holing “guilt”; a sentence of “NOT GUILTY by reason of insanity” is deferential to the perpetrator when in cases such as this no deference is warranted.

I think our ‘justice system’ needs to change the terminology for these kinds of cases… “not guilty” doesn’t seem to be right when there’s such an abundance of evidence, when what is really meant is “not sane enough to fully understand their guilt”. Certainly isn’t “not guilty”.

Worst thing, in my opinion, is that Apple used to manufacture their computers in the good ol' U.S. of A! In two decades, the execs (and shareholders) have gotten rich… but didn't use that wealth to make America, and Apple, better. Missed opportunity, IMHO.

Apple now finds itself in the unenviable position of having lost the leverage that they'd wielded like a supply chain bully, shipping the new MacBook Neo with a last-generation, less than ideal chip—A18 Pro with 8GB of RAM vs A19 Pro with 12GB—because of 'supply constraints'.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere else, so… gonna throw it out there: How disappointed should the Apple Community be that @elonmusk/@xAI/@SpaceX/@Tesla announced Terafab, but Apple was no where around, not involved, hadn't already done it prior?

Bet all of China is breathing a collective sigh of relief this morning, considering they've squatted on Chuck Norris' TLD all this time. Fuckers are lucky that he was a man of measure, that's all I can say.

I'm just going to pretend that I didn't just read what I just read. If I do that, then it won't be true. Can't convince me otherwise. I mean, he was BURIED ALIVE in a RAMCHARGER with a SUPERCHARGER and ESCAPED! So… FUCK YOU, I'm not crying, you're crying… it's allergies…

@AppleSnob_ Anyone not NEEDING one within the next year should WAIT for 2.0, hoping for a 12GB A19 Pro; or if they find a used M2 or better MBA (pref with 16GB and 512GB) for a good price, should do that instead. 12GB A19 Pro version will be the one that fulfills this ‘dream’.

So, which version MacBook Neo should a person buy? 1. 512GB will be the better option over 256GB. 2. TouchID is a more secured way of accessing the MacBook and password websites in public. 3. Also, using swap memory will eat into the storage making the 512GB model even more desirable than the 256GB model Neo. #Apple #MacBook #AppleProducts #AppleLife #Tech #Technology #Gadgets #AppleEcosystem #MacOS #M4MacBookAir #MacBookNeo #AppleLaunch

@travis4nh In this context’s lexicon, is that ahead of or behind “retard”?

At my first @lpnh meeting (as a guest speaker) and it's everything I'd hoped and expected it would be (a slap fight of autistic gay retards vs pedantic gay retards). (I am on one of these two teams)

@drbarnard Have to wonder, given the level of technology available, and fraud being attempted, why so much hinges on consistent user-identifiable payment data. My conspiracy theory brain says ‘surveillance’, for all of its uses (and parties engaging in). I long ago discounted ‘convenience’.

@drbarnard As with email addresses (and perfectly exampled in practice by Passkeys), this is why EVERY piece of identifying info—especially payment info—exchanged P2B (and B2B) should be uniquely indirected. When data is shared via tokenization, very easy to id unintended ‘spread’.
