Channel 4 News gained unprecedented access to the courts supporting parents through their addiction to reunite them with their children. Specialist family drug and alcohol courts, or FDAC, have been proven to save money and keep families together. But just this week one has closed - the second this year alone, fuelling calls for greater support from the government. In response, the government said it had supported the development of Family Drug and Alcohol Courts and was committed to improving the experiences of children and families across the system.
