If Silver announced today that he’s changing the MVP/All-NBA minimum from 65 to 62 (20 games missed max), would anyone object? Just admit you made the number too high and fix it on the fly. Cade missing out on All-NBA would be outrageous.

Ratings for the NBA Finals have been similarly cut in half in a decade: 20.2 million in 2016 to 10.2 million in 2025. The NBA is not on its deathbed. These changes have far more to do w/ how we watch TV (and declining cable subscribers) than anything like the death of movies.
