The problem with a draft is that it will very quickly turn the nation into a socialist country because the VA is now designed to give everyone who has ever been in the military for any time and any job or discharge type “free” monthly checks and benefits for life. Someone working in an Army office for 2 years now is exiting the Army and getting 50% out the door just for claiming mental anguish and toxic exposure. None of it needs to be proven other than the claimed symptoms were documented while on active duty. The whole damn country would be on VA disability checks for life if we had a draft.
