As Isiolo Leaders we are fully behind the Government of the day and our appeal to the President is to support us in progressing our development agenda. Isiolo for us all remains our rallying call and we hope to continue breaking all boundaries and help our people.

Let me take this opportunity to thank the President H.E DR. William Ruto and his Deputy H.E Rigathi Gachagua for taking time out of their busy schedule and spent a day with us during an interdenominational prayer day at Isiolo Boys.

My office will continue engaging with donors and other well wishers for humanitarian assistance during this tough period. The situation is dire and we pray to the Most Compassionate to open the skies and give us His blessings.

This morning I launched food distribution exercise targeting 4,000 vulnerable households aimed at assisting families cope with the ongoing drought. The drive targets all communities residing in Isiolo Central including other vulnerable groups.

Security is key to ensuring any meaningful development in the region and as such we have emphasized to the CS to ensure his Ministry fast tracks our pleas. Our role as your elected leaders is to put the Government of the day to task with the aim of ensuring service delivery

The CS has assured us the promises he made during his last visit including; recruitment of 350 KPRs, creation of a special unit at Mlango, Biliqo and Yamicha are all on course and his Ministry has already started implementation of the same

The Constitution of Kenya guarantees security and protection of human lives by the Government of the day. It is in the same spirit that we as your elected have continued our engagement with the CS of Interior Prof. Kithure Kindiki to ensure that our demands are implemented

On the occasion of Mashujaa Day, let us come together and remember all those who made the dream of independence a reality for all of us. Happy Mashujaa Day.
