St. John's Athletics is devastated to hear of the passing of Derek "DJ" Southerland. A double alumnus of St. John's, member of the SJU-TV Production team and devoted fan of all Red Storm athletic programs DJ was a fixture at all Johnnies home games. He brought a contagious energy and spirit to the crowd at every game he attended and always carried a bright smile. ❤️ St. John's games won't be the same without DJ, may he rest in peace.
