People complaining that World Cup match times don't fit their time zone is such a strange complaint. The tournament schedule is built around the host country, the players, and the fans attending the games, not viewers halfway across the world. As someone on the East Coast, I'll have plenty of late-night kickoffs too. That's just how time zones work. Football is a global sport; not every match will be scheduled around your convenience. What gets me is how Europe-centric this complaint feels. Fans in Australia and countries across Asia have been waking up at ridiculous hours or staying up all night to watch major tournaments for years. That is part of following a global sport. Plus, several matches are being played in the afternoon or early evening local time, when the heat is at its worst, specifically to make them more accessible for European audiences.
