Reed Sheppard is the only active player on Houston’s roster who can make this play and pass:
1. Bronny has to go over the screen because Reed can shoot
2. Hayes is shading underneath to crowd his space and prevent the drive
3. LaRavia has to help over to stop Sengun rolling

@MadManLeaks Blitzes can hurt him, but the key is to make sure the screener is a threat. So the screener has to be Sengun or KD. Maybe Amen. When they screen with Capela, LA traps him hard and it’s a turnover. But yes, he’s the best option. Not perfect but best option.

For all of Reed Sheppard’s flaws — of which there are many, both on offense and defense — the Rockets simply play better basketball and win his minutes when he plays. And when he starts, it also brings out the best in Amen Thompson.

Ime Udoka played Payton Pritchard 13 minutes per game cos he saw him as an under-sized defensive liability
Joe Mazzula developed a system that maximised his offensive game regardless of his limitations

And if stone is not fired this offseason he will fire sale the young players on this team for a disgruntled star to give us a two year championship window because he doesn’t have time for another developmental season or rebuild. Smh
