So… I had my op today. I’m feeling remarkably fine, which is possibly the drugs & that might also explain why I’m cross eyed in pic 4). I had quite a lovely couple of hours drinking tea & reading the brilliant @CatSteadman ‘s new one (more on that later
Rain update. Our road is, of course, flooded. But our ancient old hound, Jessie, is completely unphased. She's seen it all before. #Kilkenny#dogsofIreland
🚨 Breaking News
Here we go Connor Gallagher to Spurs
What a great signing he is exactly what we need conflicting reports on the fee €30/40m.
I’m happy #COYS 🤍💙
HT Spurs 2-0 Brentford
If you’re not happy with that performance I can’t help you.
We were aggressive strong in the challenge playing on the front foot.
Our passing has crisp and swift.
Xavi had a great half with an assist and a great run and finish.
Richarlison has done well with Muani in the press and that’s another goal for him.
Thought Bentancur had been excellent as has Gray.
Let’s keep it going #COYS 🤍💙
Lot of tension around Tottenham Hotspur atm. Fans understandably loathe losing to Chelsea (but they usually do, lost 14 of last 18, and should have lost by more than 1-0), one shot on target, home form poor, Simons disappointing.
They hate seeing Arsenal flying and have daunting fixtures pending, Arsenal and PS-G away. Negative body language of Van de Ven and Spence coming off the pitch on Saturday is concerning and needs tackling by Frank. However frustrated they were, it looked terrible – and a challenge to Frank.
But, some perspective, it’s hardly a crisis. Spurs are fifth, two points off second (albeit two points above 11th) and unbeaten in CL. They have a magnificent stadium and training ground, a trophy in the cabinet, new energy and ideas in the boardroom and a real attacking talent in Kudus. Palhinha hailed as an inspired (loan) signing.
Bergvall’s positivity so important and they missed him when off early with concussion protocol. Rightly withdrawn; if in doubt, sit them out. Spurs will have more creativity when Maddison and Kulusevski return. Spurs have one of the most admired coaches around in Frank, thoughtful as a man-manager, thought-filled as a coach – still needs time to understand better Spurs’ “to dare is to do” creed.
What Spurs don’t have is a fit, reliable centre-forward. Since Richarlison joined for £60m in 2022, he’s played 106 of Spurs’ 166 games (starting 59 of them) and scored 23 times. Solanke joined for £55m in 2024, he’s played in 48 of Spurs’ 76 games (starting 37) and scored 16. Both are 28yo.
Kolo Muani, who’s had a muscle contusion, has played six times without scoring since arriving on loan from PS-G. If he gets up to speed, Kolo Muani could be useful; 26yo France striker with 9 goals in 31 internationals. Home-grown Scarlett, 21, four goals in 22, on bench but it’s too early. Other attackers Tel, 20, and Odobert, 20, need to get to grips with the physicality. Johnson, 26 goals in 100 games, a decent return for a wide player, but yet to win over fans.
A lot of the noise is external but there were boos at full-time. Need a response from the players against Copenhagen tomorrow. Frank needs Solanke fit asap. Target is after the international break. Arsenal away. Welcome back. And can they rely on Solanke staying fit? Frank is not the problem at Spurs; it’s about improving recruitment. #THFC
My wife parked in these bays on a dark, wet night and got a parking fine for ‘not parking correctly within the markings of the bay’
Er…what markings 🤷🏻♂️. Especially in the dark and rain. Surely if you want people to park in a bay…mark it!
UKPC want £170…should I pay it?
