@dolbelconsultin No doubt challenging times for many and the full flow on effect of increased fuel prices is a long way off being factored into end products so this has plenty to run. Can’t see it abating anytime soon either.

@SimMcD What a time it would be to be an apprentice driving to work every day, only to spend 1/2 your weekly net income of a tank of juice. I feel for farmers and those that were just scraping before all this started. This is madness.

When filling up <$3/L feels like a win….old girl was on fumes so took a bit and to be honest I was a tad disappointed not to nudge $400 in the end….next time 😏

@stationmum101 @MartinMurray_Ag As always comes down to the fine print of paperwork and quality of counter parter. If simply verbal “yep she’ll be right” then some will honour but many will not. Hearing a lot of independent suppliers just do it load by load 😬

@MartinMurray_Ag Have heard reports of fuel companies refusing to honour contracts of clients they have had for decades. Farmers who have standing orders of 30,000L twice per year were told no deliveries at contract price but they’re welcome to fill bulk tanks at the bowser (at bowser prices).

Yet diesel is up 60% from $1.89 - $3 over the same 3 weeks. Wholesalers/importers are not showing on offer for April outturn ie they are uncertain if it will make it here. Market well bid & zip offer side 🤔
Ryan Dally@Ryandally08

#BREAKING Anthony Albanese claims there is “not less fuel in Australia today than there was 3 weeks ago” Meanwhile At least 42 petrol stations are reportedly out of fuel, and almost double have no diesel. Completely contradicting the PM. #Auspol

ugly, ugly, urea. The @Episode3net landed Australia pricing for Urea is now exceeding the levels experienced during the Ukraine war.

I've got #diesel coming tomorrow that will cost $2.92L On the 13-2-26 I paid $1.65L I don't often wish bad things on other people but if you're a war mongering moron from #Israel or the #USA or some prepper numpty or gouging oil company then I wish you a slow & painful death starting tomorrow.

@gregmoroney15 If you can do it now, price only going one way and good EOFY use of cash. Covering 6month price risk on diesel is wise IMO.

@NtDrifter We’re seeing the daily 5c-ish price rise as well. Agree this has plenty to run and not that this is over by any means but once it’s over supply chains will take plenty of time to restore.

Diesel here is $3+ and rising daily. Going to be a long haul I suspect. I don’t think $4 is too far off and $5 is not out of the question. Hope I’m wrong. 20% of world supply is a massive shortfall, reduced usage will only be driven by price. How much resilience is there?

@MattBrannRURAL NNSW pricing tracking the same trend. Whilst it continues like this it rewards the hoarders 😔. $AUD firmer should help lower but the fear in supply chains has everyone with higher risk margins 😬

That’ll teach the USA and Iran, if they think they mess with global oil markets without the RBA getting involved…. Well, they’ve got another thing coming! At least the rain forecast is up this arvo

@jameswhelan42 Yes agree at certain price point people make choices to not buy/substitute etc but I’m not seeing any sign of this behaviour yet hence nearby RBA hikes IMO.

@SimMcD It could be argued that many price increase would stop spending on certain items almost completely. Shortages as well.

They’re out of 95 ULP. Not being dramatic but I’d be in favour of a Covid style emergency and necessary transport only to conserve what we have. RBA cannot possibly raise into this uncertainty either.

@NtDrifter Sorghum??? The big red crop of dreams. 20 years ago was pig & poultry tucker at a 10-20% discount to wheat. Now trades at a 10% premium into alcohol & ethanol markets 👍
