I’ve found the debates quite useful in exposing the candidates’ personalities and policies. Starmer says the Tories have lost the plot. He has it precisely wrong. On the economy Rishi and Liz have given us two detailed, clashing ‘plots’. Where’s Starmer’s ‘plot’ - on anything?

@AlStewartOBE @RishiSunak @trussliz The BBC did itself no favours. Instead of questions about earrings etc we could have done with some probing on the NHS, immigration, N Ireland among others. Mason and Islam were superfluous.
