@TheGingerPerks The only time men dont like female protagonist is when theyre insufferable agenda driven girl bosses The success of characters like Lara Croft are proof of that

At this point, I'm fully convinced that there are certain people out there who refuse to play Metroid solely because Samus is a woman.

Embark on an unknown journey across a vast planet. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is out today on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox!

Does playing as a female protagonist affect your interest in a game?

The truth is, almost all content creators have no idea what they actually believe. They haven't spent enough time thinking through the intricacies of that. You shouldn't expect to take your ideas wholesale from any content creator, or any person for that matter. Almost all of humanity, in my experience... finds an idea that they believe in and they work backwards from that to justify it: Rather than having the evidence drive them to the conclusion. If you're gonna look to a content creator for such things... you need to look into the rationalization of how they've reached those conclusions—the explanation of why they believe what they do. If there is none... then take it with a grain of salt since you don't know where its roots lay. Basically... you should think things through for yourself and not only rely on "famous people" for your beliefs. Anyways... here's me following my own advice and eating my friend eggs with a grain of salt. Porcini mushroom salt to be precise. ^^
