Al Longmire, owner of Al’s Barbershop from 1959 to 2018, has passed away, according to reports from his friends and associates. Numerous Arizona athletes went to Al’s place. I remember going in the late 1990s and Mike Bibby showed up with some of his friends. Al was a gentle soul who treated his customers like family. He had that smile that would put you at ease. RIP, Al, a Tucson icon.
