RTS Community Maps 🗺️ The playtesters have been making some pretty sweet maps. Honestly, I dont think I could make maps as good as some of these, and I programmed the dang thing! Seeing people create maps using our map editor has been my favorite part of development so far. @Smitty_Games This is a strong starting point, The might benefit form a bit more oomph across the board. Right now the weapon sound feel a little lethargic, especially the IFV's auto cannon and the machine gun. Weapons fire tends to have a much sharper initial crack and then a bassier falloff.

@Smitty_Games Sounds good! Will say this. Remember C&C Generals when the Chinese Overlord tanks began firing? Oh yeah. More badass units with more badass weapon sounds = mmmmmm. Doesn't have to be a major shift or anything. Will there be point defense systems or unit upgrades? Wishlisting!

@Smitty_Games @SyphoticART May I suggest with the recoil, take the reverse direction of the turret, move the tank in the new direction by a teeny bit to make it look like it rocked on the tracks instead of rotated

@Smitty_Games I'm limited with what i can say here due to twitter's message limits. That said, i think layers might be the play here. A cannon shot for example would be something like a thud, followed by a sharp crack and a tail of rumble/echo.

@Smitty_Games I hadn't thought of the recoil honestly. That could be cool but I think you'd get a better effect with some added muzzle smoke but I assume you're not finished. But yeah the sound. The third vehicle you showed sounds the best out of them all. But im not sure it fits the vehicle?
