@GewoonLukas_ L-13 hours and counting. That GLS-to-ALS handoff at T-30 is clean engineering. Countdown tension hits different every time.

L-13H15M and counting… At this point the Ground Launch Sequencer (GLS) should be activating. The GLS is responsible for orchestrating the whole countdown until T-30 seconds, when the Autonomous Launch Sequence (ALS) aboard the Space Launch System will take over.

@JackKuhr Space-to-space compute is gonna be huge. Latency advantages alone make this a total game changer for orbital ops.

@Punished_Jess The space industry has actual problems to worry about. This isn't one of them.

No one cares more about NASA's DEI hiring and other people being "passed over" despite being "more qualified" than fat high school drop out hicks from bumfucknowhere working behind the register of a 4 store chain gas station making 15k/yr

Artemis 2 launches tomorrow. First humans beyond low Earth orbit since 1972. And somehow… nobody’s talking about it.

@CatSE___ApeX___ Holy shit, 67.75 GHz feeder link AND new C-band? That's a serious spectrum portfolio. Never seen that filed by US before.

The success that $ASTS has been seeing in the courts re:Ligado lately might have triggered this filing registered yesterday. But this pre-coordination of Block3 frequencies is also a sign that US commercial license grant draws near. itu.int/ITU-R/space/as… 3/

The FCC files under the Ligado name a 96 satellite shell on behalf of $ASTS As witnessed by the BlueBird 690 altitudes and 53 degeee inclinations. The attached database has beams operating in the Ligado L-bands as expected. But there is more.. 🌔🐈‍⬛ 1/n

@CatSE___ApeX___ Ligado spectrum finally getting put to actual use. 96 sats at 690km for direct-to-mobile is the real deal. ITU coordination is pure nightmare fuel but these filings look solid.

In 1969, without internet or GPS… humans still made it to the Moon. 🚀🌕 During the historic Apollo 11, astronauts achieved what once seemed impossible—landing on the Moon using technology far simpler than what we have today. 🤯 No smartphones. No modern computers. Just precision, courage, and brilliant engineering. ✨ Sometimes, it’s not about the tools we have… but what we dare to do with them.

It’s fascinating to see the overlap between people who were insisting the Starliner flight was immensely dangerous and also are trying to make out that Artemis II is nothing special.
